For this listening blog post, I chose the song "Hey Good Lookin" by Hank Williams. I thought it was a fun song. It has a very catchy rhythm that I noticed playing in the back of my mind after listening to the song. I love the way the instruments come together to make the happy sounding tune that the song has. I thought it was funny how the first line in the song is, "Hey good lookin', what you got cookin'?" because I have heard those words before but never knew where they came from. Perhaps it was from this song. Because of the tempo and overall upbeat sound of this song, it makes you want to dance to it. Listening to this song I found my foot naturally tapping along to the beat of the song. Overall, I think this was a fun and catchy song. Although it's probably not something I would ever throw into any of my playlists, I can certainly understand why someone would.

ReplyDeleteYou gotta love some old Hank Williams one of the best country music singers, storytellers, and performers. His song took right after him to on being an amazing influence on the country scene. Hank Williams had his way with catchy one liners that are remembered by all to this day. His music ranged from sad to all around joyful such as this one. Sometimes this country is a little more authentic than what we hear today.
Honestly Connor, I have to say I agree. I like the upbeat tempo and beat of the song. The lyrics are also playful and flirty which I think adds to the fun yet romantic nature of the song. And I listen to some country too, but none in the Hank Williams genre.
