Listening Blog 11

 For this week's blog post, I chose to listen to Alan Jackson's "Gone Country." I chose this song because I am a huge fan of Alan Jackson. He was one of the main artists that got me to like country music. His song "Let it be Christmas" is one of my favorite songs to listen to during the holidays, and it was really what got em listening to Alan Jackson. "Gone Country" is just an absolute classic for country music in general, not just for Alan Jackson. It hits everything that a good country song should hit and it's just one of those songs that needs to be blasted in the summer when you're out fishing, boating, camping, or just hanging out. Although it's not my all-time favorite country song or even written by my favorite country artist, I can still appreciate it for the good song that it is. It has Alan Jackson's smooth country voice with his country accent over some basic rhytmic drums and a guitar. It is a pretty standard country song, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good one. If you don't like country then you probably won't like this song, as it's not the type of country song that makes you fall in love with country music. However, if you're a fan of country and haven't given this song a listen, I would recommend it!
